Sreehari Ashok

I’m Sreehari Ashok, a music producer, composer and audio engineer from Kerala, India, currently based in the UK. My relationship with music began at home. I grew up surrounded by music through my father, who has a background in both Hindustani and Western music. He was also one of my earliest influences in music production and taught me the foundations of creating and producing music. I later had the opportunity to learn music production and develop my craft under Benny Johnson, a music director from Kerala, with whom I spent almost five years. That experience played an important role in shaping me as a producer and composer. Along the way, I developed my understanding of Carnatic and Western classical music, while continuing to explore different musical traditions, sounds and styles. Today, my work moves between music production, composition and film scoring. For me, music is a journey that began with what I inherited, grew through what I learned, and continues to evolve through what I create.
