Hollow Front

Hollow Front is a Grand Rapids, Michigan metalcore band built on raw emotion, crushing heaviness, and the refusal to give up. Their music turns grief, anger, failure, and loss into something honest, confronting the darkest parts of life without pretending there is an easy way through them. The last few years tested the band in ways they never could have imagined. After lineup changes, personal loss, uncertainty, and a stroke that nearly changed everything, Hollow Front found a way forward. Now reunited with Dakota Alvarez and creating music together again, the band enters its next chapter with No Love Without Despair, their fourth full-length album. Entirely self-funded and created independently, No Love Without Despair is the clearest reflection of who Hollow Front is today. Across twelve songs, the album explores abandonment, control, shame, survival, and the complicated relationship between love and suffering. It is both deeply personal and painfully familiar, written for anyone who has carried wounds they did not create. No Love Without Despair arrives December 11. Against all odds, Hollow Front is still here.
