Lesego Junior Nkooe, professionally known as Jnr SA, is a prominent South African electronic music producer and DJ who has carved out a unique space in the industry by bridging the gap between Afro House and Amapiano. By crafting innovative Afro House remixes and bootlegs of popular Amapiano tracks—most notably his highly acclaimed rework of Kabza De Small’s “Abalele”—he quickly captured the attention of the industry. This breakthrough earned him crucial endorsements from prominent tastemakers like Shimza, Darque, and Kabza De Small. His rapidly expanding influence has been validated by major industry accolades, including three South African Music Awards (SAMA) nominations and a notable SAMA win for Best Music Video alongside Mobi Dixon.
