Meshaun Labrone

MESHAUN LABRONE — As a policeman you can be involved in incidents that have a profound impact on the present and the future. Leaving the blue wall because of a murder scene which deeply affected him, Meshaun Labrone returned to his first love of being a musician, writer, poet, and actor. Now spreading his own brand of joy, he delivers a deep mix of Indie Pop and Rock as his music peels back the complex layers of human existence. Based out of Washington DC after growing up in the Miami sunshine, he has always been a creative searching for those human moments to share. A wordsmith from an early age, it was a simple step to begin putting his poetry to music as he travelled through the 90s. Inspired by acts such as Oasis, Alice In Chains, and Lenny Kravitz, audiences have discovered him both as a solo artist under the alias of Blank Dayz, Lead singer for the band, Deeper Shade or one half of 10 year project The Walk. As the latter project declined, Meshaun took a hiatus from the music industry as he focused on his career as a police officer. Then in 2019, he felt reborn and able to pour himself into his music once again by resurfacing some of those unreleased songs he had in the vault. Now with that maturity of his life experience in full flow, his music holds that undulating wave of sublime imagery in its grasp. Stand in the presence of a musician who has lived a life. He will trigger long-forgotten memories of days gone by.
