Metò

Metò is a sensory strain of indie-folk, developed since 2020, less interested in telling than in catching — moments, breaths, raw states turned into melodic, intimate, strangely inhabited songs. The debut EP Alstroemeria (2021) took shape during the final months spent accompanying a dying parent. Far from being a grief record in any narrative sense, it is a work of presence: minimalist, tactile, threaded with a quiet light. Four years later, Wed to the Moment (2025) marks a significant expansion of the palette. Built over more than three years from spontaneous improvisations captured on a small Tascam recorder, the album sets the fragility of lo-fi in dialogue with studio refinement. It features the drumming of JT Bates (Bon Iver, The National) on several tracks. Metò's music asks to be heard the way one moves through a landscape: unhurried, attentive to detail. It doesn't try to hold time still — it tries to inhabit it fully.
