Tapan

Tapan is a Belgrade-based ensemble that masterfully navigates the intersection of electronic sound, free jazz improvisation, and the hypnotic pulse of Eastern percussive orientalism. Originally formed as a production duo by Goran Simonoski and Nebojša Bogdanović, Tapan has evolved into a formidable live quintet, seamlessly blending contemporary electronic production with saxophone, guitar, and traditional percussion. Skillfully avoiding simple categorization, their music bridges the gap between the dancefloor and avant-garde exploration. Tapan has built a strong international presence with highly acclaimed releases on renowned labels such as Soundway Records, Offen Music, and Malka Tuti. The group is currently preparing for their next major chapter: the release of their highly anticipated third album, "3P," scheduled for 2026.
