The DADA Project

As heard on Sirius XM Chill (Channel 55), and with the release of their new single “Beach Boy,” Diane Arkenstone and David Arkenstone introduce the latest evolution of their collaborative project, The DADA Project. As two of the most iconic pioneers of modern instrumental music over the last thirty years spanning genres including New Age, world music, ambient, modern classical, video game scores and much more, they have come together to again push the boundaries of their artistry with an endeavor called The DADA Project. For many years, both have expressed a desire to explore a sleeker, beat-driven direction with lyrical songs that take the listener on a seductive journey—as if they were taken away to an exotic locale and immersing themselves in a uniquely sophisticated oceanside vibe. They’ve both released original song-driven material in the past to wonderful reception, but with the conception of The DADA Project, they can go further beyond listeners’ expectations and inhabit a totally new artistic space. On The DADA Project’s first album titled Hotel Del Mar, rhythmic beats back up effortlessly soothing vocals on songs that lyrically describe a world that can be interpersonally inspiring and in harmony with a pristine environment.
