Stuck between 90s funk and the energy of today's clubs, ASAYA gave it a name: FAST FUNK. FAST FUNK runs between 140 and 155 BPM: raw club energy filtered through funk and disco, set against an obsessive universe of open roads, fast cars, and the particular absurdity of always being in too much of a hurry. On record and on stage, ASAYA plays the willing anti-hero: swept up by the excesses of his era, moving too fast to stop. Named one of DJ Mag's Artists To Watch in a four-page print feature, Best Emerging Talent at Boiling, and broadcast on The Lot Radio and Rinse, he played 50+ dates across Europe in 2025: Rex Club Paris, Nancy Jazz Pulsations, Fundbureau Hamburg, Back to Back Festival and Festival Bobital among them.
