Born and raised in Miami, FL, Jake Kodish’s creative journey began in dance and performance. After attending a performing arts high school, he moved to Los Angeles and built an internationally recognized career as a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator specializing in experimental hip-hop and isolation-based movement. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage and toured the world with some of entertainment’s biggest names, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Jung Kook, Justin Bieber, Prince, Zedd, Louis The Child, bbno$ and more. After building an audience of over 3.5 million followers across his social platforms, he traveled the world teaching dance. Today, he channels that same artistic vision into his new music project, Moceans. Just five years ago he begin learning to produce, and since then he has developed a signature sound rooted in experimental bass music, blending cinematic textures, powerful low-end energy, and emotional storytelling. Drawing from his background in movement, Moceans transforms sound into a kinetic experience, seamlessly bridging music and motion. He has performed for crowds of over 1K at events & festivals such as Good Society (Los Angeles), Same Same But Different Festival, Black Void (Salt Lake City), and Pirate Panda’s NYE (San Diego) and many more. With upcoming collaborations alongside Skysia, SCHMUX, Roto, RANKZ, Comisar he continues to establish himself as a rising voice in the experimental bass scene.
