Drift away ☼ Itona is the new alias from James Vine, aka ENiGMA Dubz - a creative departure from his signature bass-heavy sound. After initially launching the Itona project in 2020 due to the global lock down, then taking a hiatus to focus on his main alias, relentless touring and a growing roster of artists on his label Morii Records, 2025 is the year Itona is relaunched on the new sub-label - Morii Chill. 2026 is taking this journey further still. Fulfilling James’ creative need to craft stunning electronic sonic palettes, Itona gives the musical polymath scope to escape into a realm of soundscapes outside the ENiGMA Dubz universe. In response to an increasingly challenging and fractious world, James creates inspired, ethereal and authentic electronic music to help himself and others escape, but still providing a deep and thought provoking outlet. From lofi and downtempo electronica, to chill house and chillwave - Itona’s music takes you on a dream-like journey as you float in a bubble of bliss. Itona is all about human emotion and electronic music that makes you feel, decompress and unwind. Support from Complex, Kiss FM & BBC Introducing has quickly came about - alongside editorial support from major music platforms and remixes from Late June, Rosehip and PALLADIAN.
