Born in Toronto’s east end, Devontée is an artist, writer, producer and creative driven by one philosophy: W.O.E. — Working On Excellence. Blending sharp rap lyricism, soulful production, R&B influence and raw storytelling, Devontée has built a career rooted in ambition, lived experience and the determination to turn where he comes from into where he’s going. His work extends beyond his own catalog, with writing and production credits involving Joey Bada$$, Kardinal Offishall, Preme, Haviah Mighty and Bridgit Mendler, including production on Haviah Mighty’s JUNO-winning 13th Floor. His creative résumé also includes collaborations with Stephen Curry and Under Armour, Jordan Brand and Foot Locker. As an artist, Devontée has released THE CLIMB & THE CROWN and TALES OF A 6ERR, followed by TALES OF A 6ERR DELUXE in 2026, featuring new records and a collaboration with RUSSELL on the “Switch Sides” Remix. Now entering his next chapter, Devontée is taking W.O.E. beyond Toronto. The 6 is where he comes from. The world is where he’s going.
