Biography & Metadata
Brenda Vongova is the President and Artistic Director of the UN Chamber Music Society, which was founded in 2016 at the United Nations Headquarters – to promote the values of the United Nations through the universal language of music. Vongova's collaborations span the classical and pop worlds, featuring acclaimed artists such as musicians from the New York Philharmonic and Daniel Barenboim’s Divan Orchestra, alongside Julian Marley, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Joe Hisaishi & Mai Fujisawa, Kadim Al Sahir, two-time Grammy winner Christopher Tin, multi-Grammy winner Wouter Kellerman, and Anastasia Nermirovich-Danchenko from the Moscow Art Theatre. A frequent performer at prestigious venues, her credits include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Harvard University’s Sanders Theatre, and the United Nations. Vongova studied piano under the tutelage of Juilliard Professor Jerome Lowenthal, and is a Voting Member of the Recording Academy of the Grammy Awards.
