Julio Montalvo

Julio Montalvo is one of the leading trombonists from the island of Cuba. Songwriter, producer & arranger. He has worked with great artists such as: Pat Metheny/Perico Sambeat Sedajazz Big Band, Claudio Roditi, Oscar D’ León, Jose Luis Cortés & Juan Formell Team Cuba All Star, Jose Alberto “El Canario”, Lucrecia, Aymeé Nuviola, Alain Pérez, Ximo Tébar, “Angá” Diaz, Mark Nightingale, Mike Mossman, Mario Rivera (Mayito) among others. Montalvo has released 10 albums in his catalog, with his Latin Jazz band, with his Big Band and with the Huracán de Miami, the latter is a Cuban Salsa and Timba band created in Miami, composed of an all-star lineup of top musicians based in Florida. Its members have played with the main Cuban bands such as Irakere, Alain Pérez Paulo Fg, Charanga Habanera etc. Our orchestra presents an original repertoire designed for lovers of Latin music and at the same time for those who enjoy listening to sophisticated musical arrangements.
