The Swing Bot

The masked mystery DJ and producer from France was previously heard on international compilations such as the The Complete "Blue Cover" Series Vol 2 - Electro Swing 2018 - 2019 or many of the formative Electro Swing releases, with tracks mashing up early 20th century stars like Édith Piaf or Glenn Miller with contemporary influences like Parov Stelar. With a unique and immediately recognisable style that showcases his love of hypnotic and repetitive beats, the club-based musical heritage of The Swing Bot combines darker toned underground electronic music with a vintage jazz tradition, creating a cross-over that combines French Touch house (think St Germain or Daft Punk) with Electro Swing. The Swing Bot scored a surprise cross-over summer hit with the track Waves of 84 (2019) which featured on numerous global Dance compilations. The Swing Bot regularly takes his live show on the road. With a dazzling visual side, he travelled from Paris to Hamburg, Brussels, London and beyond. Most recently he has been the tour DJ on several European seasons of the large-scale event Party Like Gatsby. The Swing Bot eventually collected up many of his singles released over the years on the British Independent label Freshly Squeezed, to form his debut album ART DISCO (2023). This was swiftly followed by a string of singles exploring new directions into a more downtempo Swing Hop and sample based sound, before coming full circle again for his 2nd album on Freshly, TOURNEDISC (2024).
