Biography & Metadata

BIG30 is a Memphis rapper with a drawling flow and blunt lyrics. He made a big impression with his featured appearance on Pooh Shiesty's 2021 single "Neighbors." From that charting track, BIG30 quickly struck out on his own, putting his cool-headed but ruthless style in the spotlight on his debut mixtape, 2021's King of Killbranch, followed a year later by the full-length Last Man Standing. Second album Still King arrived in 2024. BIG30 was born Rodney Wright, Jr. in 1999 and grew up in Memphis. By 2020, he was showing up as a featured artist on tracks from Dee Mula, Gucci Mane, and others. Along with appearing on several tracks on the So Icy Gang, Vol. 1 and So Icy Summer compilations, BIG30 was a special guest on multiple tracks from fellow Memphis native Pooh Shiesty. Of those tracks, the 2021 song "Neighbors" became a hit, reaching the number 51 position on the Billboard singles chart. Later in 2021, BIG30 was featured on Gucci Mane's song "Shit Crazy." In September of that year, he delivered his debut mixtape, King of Killbranch, which featured guest contributions from Future, Lil Durk, Offset, and others, and peaked at number 13 on the Billboard 200. Singles like "Dead Guyz" and "No Love" led up to the release of the 2022 full-length Last Man Standing, which also made the U.S. album chart. He made appearances on the N Less Entertainment compilation album We Connected in 2023. Still King, BIG30's second full-length, was released in 2024. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
