Confidence’s journey began behind the turntables, DJ’ing alongside his brother before diving into beatmaking in the mid-90s. By 2001, he had leveled up his craft with an MPC 2000XL, setting the stage for a career defined by dedication, sacrifice, and mastery of sound. In 2011, he released the critically acclaimed The Element of Surprise with Rashad, solidifying his place in the hip hop scene. Since then, Confidence has continued to build an impressive catalog, working on projects such as Purpose & Confidence, Confidence Presents: Gdot & Born feat. Edo. G, Confidence & J Ferra Present: Dese 15 Years, Beneficence & Confidence, 3 Sunz, Big Dese & Confidence, and M-Dot & Confidence and Awon.
