Biography & Metadata
Inara George is a Los Angeles based singer-songwriter whose voice moves effortlessly between indie pop, folk, and jazz-tinged songwriting. Best known as one half of the bird and the bee, alongside grammy winning producer Greg Kurstin, George has also built a celebrated solo career with albums including All Rise, Accidental Experimental, An Invitation (with Van Dyke Parks), Dearest Everybody and What Keeps You Up at Night. Her work blends melodic sophistication with emotional clarity, earning her a reputation for intimate, harmony-rich storytelling and adventurous collaboration. With her newest project, Songs of Douglass and Littell, Inara revisits compositions by longtime collaborators and friends Philip Littell and Eliot Douglass, offering fresh interpretations that delve into jazz-inflected phrasing and harmony. The record expands her sonic palette while remaining rooted in the warmth and lyrical curiosity that define her body of work.
