I believe in the beauty I feel when I create music. There is nothing quite like the ecstatic pure joy of watching a song unfold before my eyes, as if it wasn’t me writing it, as if it came from above. I make music for the privilege of going through this private moment in time, again and again, hoping to encapsulate that intimate instant into a song, dreaming of sharing what’s precious with you. Meshing pop songwriting with a dash of dance-floor ambience and alt-rock guitars, XNewRoman is an electronic artist based in London. XNewRoman grew up in the suburbs of the eternal city, experiencing the duality between going for a daily walk in an open air museum and living the struggle of a grandiosity that only once existed, yet still fluctuates in the streets of modern Rome. Both name and music are inspired by this cultural and personal dualism: the cult of beauty, elegance and mystery opposed to a more underground and simple reality.
