Mr & Mrs Cello

From Italy, with Mediterranean flair, Mr. Massimiliano Martinelli and Mrs. Fulvia Mancini started the Mr & Mrs Cello duo in 2017, with a vision of bringing their love for the cello and classical performance into the modern music industry. Together they’ve published five books of arrangements of popular music for two cellos with American publishing house Hal Leonard. These original arrangements range from the Classical Two-Part Inventions by Bach, to the virtuosic works of Paganini, to the neoclassical music of Ludovico Einaudi all the way to the popular rock music of U2. The duo have delved into many musical dimensions, gaining attention by performing at many events, and being requested to teach cello and chamber music at the Music Universities of Hokkaido, Japan and Kaunas, Lithuania. They were also chosen to play alongside Riccardo Muti in his first ‘Luigi Cherubini’ Orchestra in 2005.
