Biography & Metadata

LLowly Light is the pseudonym for Matt Gorny, an award-winning songwriter and producer. Matt has collaborated on songs for dance artists such as Ultra Nate, Amanda Lepore, Pat Lok, Liset Alea among others, bringing his unique production style to each project. The sound of Lowly Light is an ever-evolving journey, with a focus on nu-disco jams with pulsating bass lines and sweeping synths propelling the deep club grooves with standouts such as “Find A Way” and “Impossible Possibility” leading the way. On the other end of the sound spectrum there are the chilled out grooves of “Prayin’” and “Lights Down Low” delivering introspection and the comfort of downtempo with trip-hop undertones. “Do You Feel Me” cracked the Spotify algorithm with over 120k streams. Meanwhile “Lose You (John "J-C" Carr & Bill Coleman 808 Beach Remix)” was featured, along with The Weekend remix, on the music blog Acid Stag and is in rotation on SiriusXM channel 312. The latest release “Untouchable” mixes house-style bass and drums with alt-pop guitar hooks and the multi-layered anthemic vocals by Koda Corvette capturing the electric energy and unbridled confidence. Lyrically it’s a mix of hubris and self-belief in finding a connection to someone who seems to be on another level.
