DJ GQ

​DJ GQ, born Gary Hardie in Miami, Florida, was raised in Jamaica by his Cuban/Chinese Jamaican parents. His unique cultural heritage has profoundly influenced his music career. Over the years, DJ GQ has forged affiliations with renowned artists such as Akon, DMX, Mr. Vegas, and Skip Marley. Since the global success of "Turn Me On," he has been the tour DJ for Kevin Lyttle. ​DJ GQ released his debut album, Is It You?, on October 9, 2020. The album reached #1 on the iTunes Reggae charts within two hours and climbed to #10 on the Billboard Reggae charts by its second week. He continues to captivate audiences worldwide while maintaining weekly nightclub residencies in South Florida. ​A prominent figure in radio, DJ GQ was part of Remix Top 30 with Hollywood Hamilton, broadcasted in over 100 cities via iHeart/Premiere Networks. He was the first Top 40 Mixer on Y100 and remains a staple on Y100 Miami with weekly mixes. ​Beyond music, DJ GQ is dedicated to education and philanthropy. He shares insights with hundreds of students annually, served as a Governor on the Grammy Association board, and volunteers with NAMI Walks and the For A Better Day Foundation. ​His talent has earned him multiple awards, including the 2024 Electronic Dance Music Award (EDMA) for Mixshow DJ Of The Year (Top 40 / Dance), with repeat nominations in 2025 & 2026.
