Biography & Metadata
Brendan Walter has always felt at ease between worlds, showing that authenticity isn’t always defined by life’s constants but instead thrives with complexities. From Dallas, Texas, Walter learned to play guitar alongside his dad in the fifth grade, trying his hand at songwriting and playing guitar in church. The diverse soundtrack of his childhood included everything from Mumford & Sons, Van Halen, and Tyler Childers, laying the groundwork for Walter’s future artistry. During his last summer in college, the young artist took a leap of faith, blowing off a finance internship to move to Austin where he cut his teeth throughout the city’s live music circuit. Shaped by the vibrant musical landscape in Austin, Walter then set his sights on Nashville, bringing his blend of rock, indie folk, and grunge to Music City. Walter got to work, touring with artists including Wyatt Flores and Evan Honer and releasing “If A Song Could Change Your Mind” with Low Gap, and his debut album, Disappearing Days. Walter’s path is one shaped by his desire to blur genre lines and willingness to let listeners into his heart, pouring his emotions, memories, and experiences into the storytelling. Walter offers fans a study in contrasts, balancing vulnerability and grit, aching nostalgia with a desire to experience life in the moment, and an undeniable sense of self with an insatiable need to keep exploring.
