Biography & Metadata
ALEX YACOVELLI is a "Nu York" Rock Artist-Producer from Hell’s Kitchen NYC (Neo-Grunge / Punk / Alt / Sleaze / Garage / acoustic Alt-Folk). As both Solo Artist & frontman of YACOVELLI, he brings a raw, untamed energy to every track, with pure DIY spirit. His catalog spans from acoustic heartbreakers to adrenaline-injected stadium jams, a contrast he dubs “The Zepp Effect.” A fixture of the New York underground since the 2000s, he’s notched incredible milestones— including playing with Weezer at their Madison Square Garden debut. His songwriting skills earned him an Honorable Mention in the John Lennon Songwriting Competition (Pop), alongside Meghan Trainor. YACOVELLI's NYU Ultraviolet Live performance was praised by host Perez Hilton. Alex received an exclusive invite to record “Songbird” at Jacaranda Record’s 1947 direct-to-vinyl booth, at the Liverpool club where The Beatles started. Live Gigs: Mercury Lounge, Rockwood Music Hall, 107.1 The Peak’s Pleasantville Music Festival, Arlene's Grocery, Bitter End. Gurus: Rubin, Vig, CLA, Tedder, Ronson & Puth. Influences: Chris Cornell, Soundgarden, Paul McCartney, Led Zeppelin, Jack White, Tom Morello, Nirvana, Toadies, Weezer, Pixies, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Green Day, Radiohead, New York Dolls, Jet, The Vines, The Hives, Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Stone Temple Pilots, The Smashing Pumpkins, Rage Against The Machine, Damon Albarn, David Bowie, Måneskin, The Beatles, Billy&Elton
