Tetra Brass

Founded in 2018, Tetra Brass is celebrated for its warm, refined sound, energetic performances and innovative programming. Performing in prestigious venues such as the Wigmore Hall in London, the Konzerthaus and the Philharmonie Berlin and the Solti Hall Budapest, the quartet has become a favorite at renowned festivals like Grafenegg and Detect Classic Festival. Their artistry and dynamic performances have earned them numerous first prizes at international competitions, including the Chieri International Competition and the IMC Paris. In 2023, they were honored with the City of Munich’s Förderpreis für Musik. Tetra Brass is known for pushing boundaries, blending traditional brass sounds with fresh, modern ideas, and exploring interdisciplinary collaborations. Their creative approach has led to partnerships with video artist Robert Seidel, clarinetist Ernesto Molinari and leading composers like Moritz Eggert and Mike Svoboda, resulting in several world premieres. The ensemble’s performances deliver an engaging mix of musical traditions and forward-thinking concepts. Driven by curiosity and a fearless spirit, their repertoire spans from late Romanticism to cutting-edge new works. As an ambassador for Buffet Crampon, Tetra Brass plays exclusively on instruments by Antoine Courtois.
