Trouvere Medieval Minstrels

Trouvere have been in action since 1998 and focus on the reconstruction of medieval music with a very close eye on authenticity. We have over 50 instruments of various kinds and perform in concert or at festivals primarily in the UK, but also in other parts of Europe. We normally perform in medieval costume and are sometimes required to ensure a high level of 'authenticity' - that is to say - strictly only period instruments, strung in gut and period repertoire without any reliance on modern techniques and styles. At other times, we produce music inspired by medieval music for certain events, productions or albums without reference to any strict authenticity.
