Hailing from Norway, Andreas Bakketeig, aka Bakkis , is quickly becoming an artist renowned for his groove-driven house productions. The multifaceted newcomer is no stranger to the music scene, having started in radio at the age of 10. Expanding beyond radio, Bakkis became a sought-after club DJ in the late 2000s, performing at some of the world’s most iconic club brands and venues, including Destino Pacha, Dunes Ibiza, Hard Rock Ibiza, and major spots in Norway like Ricks Bergen, Rebel, and, more recently, Hjornet. His energetic performances quickly earned him a loyal following and recognition in the house scene in Norway and beyond. His debut release «Larry», impact, reaching #18 on the Global Top 100 Releases, #5 in Tech House. Follow-up release, «Green Celery» also saw success, landing at #72 on the Tech House Hype Chart. BAKKIS’ tracks have already garnered widespread support from industry heavyweights like Jamie Jones , Marco Carola , MK , Claptone , Roger Sanchez , Nic Fanciulli , Joseph Capriati , and many more. He has also received airplay from Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1 a major endorsement cementing his rising status in the international house scene. BAKKIS has just launched a new national radio, R-Trybe Sessions, which he co-hosts with Huxley (Defected/Toolroom) and Ramin Rezaie (Solid Grooves/Moxy). This ties into his production community, R Trybe, which he runs alongside the aforementioned artists. BAKKIS is only just getting started.
