Biography & Metadata
Nobuhiro Okahashi is a Japan-based electronic musician working with ambient and drone sound. His music unfolds through sustained tones, slow modulation, and near-static movement. Built from layers of electronic signals and restrained gestures, the sound emphasizes duration over event, density over melody. Subtle changes emerge gradually, inviting deep listening and a heightened awareness of time, space, and resonance. Based in the Osaka area, Okahashi releases music through the Tokyo label purregoohn and performs in Japan and abroad. He also organizes Naniwa Ambient, a gathering dedicated to immersive listening and experimental sound.
