Biography & Metadata
Sterlatone was founded by Ivo Witteveen and Dylan Alling. This collective features an array of collaborators, most frequently guitarist Bastiaan Mulder (Bowie's Lazarus a.o.) and percussionist Jeroen de Rijk (Bruno Mars a.o.). They have recently recorded with a stellar musicians such as drummers Frank Tontoh (George Michael a.o.) and Hans Eijkenaar (Anouk a.o.), singers Amber Gomaa and Jeroen Manuhutu, Edison Award winning bugler Teus Nobel, pianist Timothy Banchet and bassist Mark Haanstra. Their latest offering, Fought An Angel, sweeps you of your feet with its lush 21st century yacht rock vibes. When Dylan and Ivo make music together, they are driven by their uncompromising love for classic songwriting. That spirit runs through the Sterlatone repertoire: as eclectic as it may be, each song has been meticulously crafted. Influenced by just about any pop musician from Beck to Bacharach and Stevie Wonder to Steely Dan, their work is best described as songs that sound like they’ve always been there.
