Biography & Metadata

Born in Boston, MA, raised in Raleigh, NC, and currently residing in Nashville, TN, singer-songwriter Kevin Powers draws inspiration from his diverse upbringing to carve a new lane in popular music. Coined “Southern Pop”, Kevin’s unique style emerged with breakout singles in 2020 “Walked In” and “How You Been?”, amassing 22M and 14.5M streams on Spotify alone. His songwriting continues to propel him into the spotlight, most notably through co-writing Shaboozey and Jelly Roll's Grammy Award-winning, country radio #1 hit "Amen". Kevin’s early success and his ability to work as both an artist and a writer at the highest level have attracted serious attention in the industry. In 2025, he has inked a deal with Sony Music Publishing, signed to Range Media Partners for management, and became the first artist joining Shaboozey's new joint venture label, American Dogwood. He also opened for Shaboozey's 12-stop U.S. tour, The Great American Road Show, bringing his rising catalog to fans nationwide. Kevin helped launch American Dogwood with the release of "Move On," the label's debut single, which quickly hit the Spotify Viral 50 chart, and continues to climb. With a rapidly growing fanbase and a slate of new music, Kevin Powers is firmly establishing himself as the most exciting new voice shaping the future of country music.
