Vadé

Hailing from the United Kingdom, Vadé (pronounced vah-day) is an A Cappella ensemble formed by Philip Yeboah and JJ Hammersley in the summer of 2013. The signature Vadé sound is an amalgamation of R&B, Jazz & Gospel, fused with rhythms and vibes from their Afro-Caribbean roots. The UK-based group burst on to the music scene following their participation in a UK TV competition called Sing: Ultimate A Cappella in 2017, where they were crowned the winners and were named the 'best a cappella group in the UK', according to Sky News. Multi-award winning Vadé is made up of Philip Yeboah, Joshua 'JJ' Hammersley, Jermaine Sanderson and Roy Crisp. Distinguished by their close harmonies, eclectic taste in music, imaginative R&B/Jazz arrangements and beatboxing, Vadé produce covers of songs across a range of genres, medleys and original material, showcasing their vocal dexterity. The group has worked with the likes of Gregory Porter, Beverley Knight, Geri Halliwell, Katy B and Shaun Escoffrey, to name a few. Vadé's musical prowess coupled with their vocal dexterity has been one of the primary driving forces of the band's success. The evolution of Vadé’s sound progressed in the summer of 2022 while collaborating with Erik “Blu2th” Griggs, a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and multi-platinum producer for Dr. Dre and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men. Their latest single, “Christmas Wish” was released in November 2022, which will be followed by an EP in 2023 showcasing the band’s new sound.
