Jerome

Carmelo Di Girolamo, also known as JEROME, Professor at the National Academy of Dance in Rome, is a pianist, composer, and educator. He graduated with honors in Piano and Chamber Music from the ISSMC “G. Braga” and earned a diploma in score reading from the Conservatory of Pescara. He further refined his training through international masterclasses and advanced specialization programs. His artistic career includes collaborations with prestigious institutions and organizations such as the Royal Academy of Dance, UNESCO, and RAI, as well as with renowned record labels and leading dance companies. In 2019, he released the solo piano album Round, presented at Piano City Milan. He has also produced two albums of original compositions dedicated to classical and contemporary dance. In 2021, he was awarded first prizes in several international competitions in Canada and the United States as both a composer and modern pianist. Among his most recent works are recordings with international labels, his new solo piano album REBORN, the original score for the contemporary dance production Vultures, and his latest show A Tribute To, a project that combines piano performance and contemporary dance in a tribute to Philip Glass and Ryuichi Sakamoto and is currently touring in Italy.
