Crafted by himself, Mayday hails from Birmingham. Taking inspiration from garage mixes his mother used to play in his early years and infusing them with a love of international music on a wider scale, the 0121 native is set to bring his playful storytelling music to the world. The self-proclaimed ‘Kingstanding Captain’ is one of the most exciting prospects from the West Midlands to emerge in recent times. Mayday is at the forefront of Birmingham's next great Grime generation. His buzz is starting to travel in and out of the city and he’s being dubbed as the leader going into the next decade. 2025 saw Mayday bring together the new Grime generation in Birmingham with the Awful Lotta Birmingham mixtape, defining the current and future era. He said 3 words and they became a movement which the city is behind.
