Hey, I’m Ruth! I’m a Birmingham-based (UK) songwriter, producer, and all-round music geek, and I’ve been releasing music for the last four years. I write from real life - always trying to give voice to whatever I’m writing about — to create those “oh… me too” moments where you feel seen or understood. My lyrics are usually a mix of raw, honest, challenging, and comforting, and people often tell me my music sounds like it belongs in a film, which I kind of love - maybe one day it will be... who knows?! I’m inspired by all sorts of music and still very much exploring what my sound is and what I’m capable of. For now, I'm settling into a kind of ethereal and cinematic pop vibe, with the odd random kids holiday club theme tune thrown in for good measure! I’m a person of faith, and that’s part of who I am — sometimes it shows up clearly in my songs, and sometimes it really doesn’t. When I’m not making music, I’m a wife, a mum to a teenager and a young adult, a daughter, and a friend — juggling family life, creativity, and the chaos that "my stage of life" brings (if you know - you know).
