Midnight Gold

Born and raised in the tundras of the Upper Midwest, Jason Mastel, a.k.a. Midnight Gold, took a keen interest in music from a very young age. Drawing inspiration from Led Zeppelin, Kanye West, Daft Punk, and everyone in between, his music showcases his eclectic style. With a comprehensive background in percussion and a keen ear for sampling, both his originals and remixes demonstrate an endless array of creativity. Kicking the summer off with a bang, Midnight Gold dropped his first track in May 2020 and continues to push boundaries with each release. Having released on G-Mafia, Sorta Kinda, and more, Midnight Gold has seen artist support from legends like Don Diablo and Richie Hawtin. Surpassing 100k streams across all platforms, tracks such as Veins have soared up the Hypeddit charts, peaking at #16. Rooted in the Minneapolis scene, Midnight Gold has shared lineups with major artists such as NOTD, Keys N Krates, Cheat Codes, and Devault. He has also made waves in the festival circuit, performing at Breakaway, Bass Ribbon Pines, and Synesthesia, among others.
