Jo Joey

Jo Joey is a South London rapper and storyteller whose music is rooted in faith, lived experience and transformation. Raised in Thornton Heath, his journey from the realities of street life to finding purpose in Christ has shaped an artist unafraid to speak about the darkness he’s witnessed and the grace that brought him through it. Blending raw UK rap, introspective lyricism and melodic influences, Jo Joey bridges the streets and spirituality without compromising his authenticity. His music explores loss, survival, redemption, fatherhood, faith and the pursuit of purpose. His journey gained recognition in 2016 when Jamal Edwards invited him to perform on the iconic SBTV Warm Up Sessions. That same year, he performed at O2 Academy Islington, opening for gospel artist A Star. Having lived through the experiences he now raps about, Jo Joey brings a rare honesty to his music. His faith doesn’t erase his past; it gives his story new meaning. Now entering a defining chapter of his career, Jo Joey continues to deliver powerful storytelling, uncompromising lyricism and music that challenges perspectives, inspires change and reminds listeners that their past doesn’t have to determine their future. More than music. A life transformed. A testimony still being written.
