Ace aka Mumbai is a pioneering force in Indian hip-hop and the founder of Mumbai’s Finest, India’s first independent rap crew. With a career spanning over 17 years, he has played a key role in shaping Mumbai’s rap culture and has earned widespread recognition for his groundbreaking contributions. A multi-award-winning artist, Ace’s track Har Gham Mein Khushi Hai from the Bollywood blockbuster Gully Boy won the Mirchi Music Award for Best Soundtrack and earned him a Filmfare Award nomination. He also composed the title track for Netflix’s Love Per Square Foot, marking Vicky Kaushal’s Bollywood debut. His collaborations include Indian legends such as A.R. Rahman, Shaan, Salim-Sulaiman, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kumar Sanu, and Blaaze, as well as international icons like Flo Rida and Chamillionaire. Ace has independently released five studio albums—Second to None, Undergod (Zee Music Co.), Chaava (Zee Music Co.), Bless Me, and Sober. He has performed at over 5,000 shows, judged more than 3,000 rap battles, and built an extensive catalog of over 300 songs and 100 music videos. A cover star of Rolling Stone India, Ace continues to push boundaries as he prepares to release his 6th studio album—India’s first Afrobeats-inspired hip-hop project, set to redefine the genre.
