Biography & Metadata
Fuzz and Mac is a hip-hop and neo-soul duo built on over two decades of collaboration, friendship, and evolution. Comprised of McClain Sullivan and Fuzz Jackson, the group first came together as members of the eight-piece live hip-hop band Organix—making their debut opening for The Roots at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. From the beginning, their chemistry has been rooted in contrast and balance: Sullivan’s jazz-trained, golden-toned vocals paired with Jackson’s sharp, thoughtful lyricism. The result is a sound that lives between hip-hop and neo-soul—introspective, groove-driven, and grounded in lived experience. While Jackson remained rooted in the hip-hop scenes of North Carolina and Georgia, Sullivan expanded her artistry through solo work and a life that now spans New York and the Bay Area. Despite the distance, their creative partnership never stopped. Their latest album, Heide Drive, is both a return and a reflection—named after the street where they lived as roommates in the early 2000s, writing and recording music side by side. The project captures the essence of where they began, filtered through years of experience, separation, and reconnection. Fuzz and Mac are more than collaborators—they are long-time friends who have found a way to keep creating across distance, carrying their shared history into every track.
