Ida The Young

Ida The Young are an indie rock/electronica band based in Czech Republic. Their genre-blending instrumentation, in which they can go from acoustic folk or guitar driven indie rock to shattered drum machine sequences, provides a soundscape for London-born singer Iris Hobson-Mazur’s hypnotic vocals, delivering lyrics that tread the line between intimate, personal and complete fantasy. The band is known for their eclectic, ever-changing live shows, often performing different versions of their songs depending on the venue and mood. Their upcoming full-lenght Seeing In Reverse captures the Czech five-piece pushing their sound into heavier, stranger and more experimental territory. Rather than limiting themselves to what could later be reproduced on stage, they treated the studio as an instrument in its own right. The result brings electronics and live instrumentation into constant dialogue
