Phina Asa

West African native Phina Asa is a seasoned singer-songwriter, hailing from both Cameroon and Nigeria. Music has always been a tentpole in her creative pursuits, with storytelling as her primary objective, she seeks to change, console and speak to the world through her music. In 2021 she was scouted by Sean Thomas, who was preparing tirelessly for the launch of his global collective &friends. She was brought on as a core vocalist for the project, making her debut for &friends with her single “Dangerous”. Maintaining momentum, her vocal rendition of Armin Van Buuren’s pivotal track “This Is What It Feels Like'' saw the collective’s Armada Music debut and marked the first release of an &friends track via a major label. 2023 is only the start for Phina as a part of &friends, with debut live performances, new music and stories soon to be told. Both as a part of the collective and as a solo artist, Phina Asa is cementing herself as a name to watch from the African continent as she weaves her stories into lyrics and songs for all to hear.
