Emma Lucia

Hailing from both Sweden and California, Emma Lucia creates intimate and haunting songs and vocals with roots in each culture, with production ranging from moody folk, to experimental soundscapes, to beat driven epics. Her latest release, Djuphjärtad (deep hearted), is a collaborative EP with ambient project Ship Says Om (Jenny Gillespie Mason). Blending Lucia’s elemental voice with Mason’s layered ambient textures, the songs move between intimate explorations of new love and meditative wordless sound journeys shaped by water, forests and birdsong. Other releases include Fall Into the Sun with UK producer Asta Hiroki, the blending of Swedish folk and beats with Red Giant Project and BOSA, the Nordic ambient heart song journey EP Hjärta produced with Dirtwire, Cruel Summer with Beats Antique, and releases on Ninja Tune and Ubiquity. Formerly of Jed and Lucia and Kite In The Air, her music has been heard on Grey's Anatomy, Nip/Tuck, Beverly Hills 90210, and One Tree Hill.
