Biography & Metadata

I think I’ve spent most of my life asking myself one question: “What if I try again? Isa pa?” I wasn’t the best singer in school. I wasn’t the kid everyone expected to make music. In fact, I spent years hearing the opposite. That, I wasn’t good enough, that my songs were too ordinary, and that I was dreaming too big “masyadong ambisyoso”. After hearing that enough times, I started believing it too. But I couldn’t stop writing. What started as poems in a notebook eventually became songs. I joined songwriting competitions hoping someone would finally tell me, “You belong here.” I got rejected. Thrice. I released my first song, Galaksiya, on my own with almost no support, and for a while, it felt like no one was listening. Then one day, complete strangers did. Galaksiya found its way to people through TikTok, and suddenly the same song I almost gave up on became the reason people found me. Looking back, I realized maybe I never needed everyone’s approval. I just needed the right people to hear it. Today, I still write the same way I did years ago. Every song I release is for anyone who’s ever been told they’re too ambitious, too late, or not enough. If my music can make even one person feel understood, then every rejection was worth it. Maybe that’s what Galaksiya has always been about. Finding your place in a universe that once made you feel invisible.
