Pete McCormack

Pete McCormack is a Canadian singer-songwriter, award-winning director, writer & producer. His 2009 documentary Facing Ali was short-listed for an Academy Award. In 2016, his documentary Spirit Unforgettable—about Canadian singer John Mann's journey with Early Onset Alzheimer's—won Audience Choice awards at both Hot Docs and VIFF. Pete has written several produced feature screenplays and published two novels, including the Stephen Leacock Memorial Medal for Humour-nominated Understanding Ken. He recently finished his third novel, a YA sci-fi fantasy called My Last Friends on Earth, and two non-fiction books, one on writing—Hey, Writer—and one on songwriting—Hey, Songwriter.
