Sahana Naresh

Sahana is a multilingual, genre-fluid singer-songwriter making Indie Pop music with an Indian classical heartbeat. Born into a musical family, she writes and sings in English, Tamil, and Hindi- drawing from her cultural roots, her influences, and the many emotions that shape her work. Her journey as an original artist began when she became a mother- an experience that profoundly shaped both her songwriting and the courage to finally share it with the world. Driven by a healthy dose of love song fatigue, Sahana writes about the stories we hear less often- womanhood, motherhood, patriarchy, identity, and the existential questions that shape our lives. She cares deeply about building community through music and contributing to the world of live, independent performance. She is a curator and volunteer with Indie Grrrl India, supporting female indie artists in India, and an Amplify Music Incubator alum. Sahana has been releasing music since 2021, with a bunch of singles to her credit. This year, Sahana released 3 singles in collaboration with German Psychedelic Kraut Rock act Keshavara, and has her eyes set on her very own debut EP that's slated to release in early 2027.
