Born and raised in St. Louis, Monica Valli cut her teeth in the city’s gritty blues clubs as a teenage guitar slinger, earning a reputation for raw talent and a soul far older than her years before earning her stripes at Berklee College of Music. After graduating, she hit the road as a hired-gun guitarist, lending her chops to a diverse range of artists and gracing major stages. Now based in Austin, TX, Monica is stepping into the spotlight from sideman to front woman - an electric guitar-slinging Blues/Americana artist with a raw, soulful sound that tastefully blends grit and grace. Her years on the road and deep roots in blues have shaped a voice that’s as seasoned as it is fresh, channeling the heart of American roots music through her own lens.
