Biography & Metadata
SHĀHERI is the Los Angeles Persian psych band led by composer Jonathan Shaheri. Born in LA to Iranian parents, he takes the pre-revolution sounds of Kourosh Yaghmaei and Googoosh and plays them through surf guitar, funk and cinematic scoring. Following the breakout success of their 2025 debut project PERSIĀDELICĀ and sold-out shows across the US, SHĀHERI released their debut album ROYĀ on Avenue Niel Music: Releases in October 2026 and will tour it across North America, Latin America and Europe in 2027.
