Darkest Summer

Darkest Summer is the transmedia project and creative home of producer, director, and author, Angel Guzman. Blending genres with a unique narrative approach, Darkest Summer fuses the nostalgic warmth of Lo-fi, the vibrant energy of J-Pop, and the emotional intimacy of Bedroom Pop, creating an immersive soundscape where music becomes storytelling. The beating heart of this universe is "My First Winter," a multidisciplinary project that weaves together literature, music, and distinct visual aesthetics. Within this ecosystem, music transcends traditional formats, giving a voice to complex and beloved characters such as Miyukii, Lizzie Hoppkings, Ayko Sugi. The project’s signature sound is brought to life through the implementation of Synth Harmony, a custom-developed voice synthesis software. This innovative tool allows Darkest Summer to craft unique, precise vocal textures for each character, giving every track an authentic identity that resonates deeply with the lore of My First Winter. By bridging cutting-edge technology with emotional storytelling, Darkest Summer invites audiences to explore a world where every track is a chapter and every note is a fundamental piece of the narrative. Driven by a bold artistic vision, the project continues to evolve, pushing the boundaries of sound and story for those who seek to lose themselves in the music. Welcome to the universe of Darkest Summer: where technology and imagination find their melody.
