Hailing from the remote mountain ranges between France, Italy and Switzerland, Annawak's music reflects the tranquility and landscape of their homeland. Developing a passion for the music of Duke Ellington, John Coltrane and Bobby Caldwell at an early age, Annawak, real name Valentin Cavanna, found their voice through the saxophone; a motif of their music that's ever-present and instantly recognisable. Moving to Paris in their early 20's, they combined their love of live instruments and music production at Abbey Road Paris - studying for 3 years under some of France's most established engineers and music professionals. Now releasing a soft, groovy instrumental Lo-Fi Beats sound, Annawak's combination of Jazz and 90's Hip-Hop transports listeners to a realm high in the clouds; where nature soothes, and melodies intertwine...
