Martin Roth

Martin Roth is a Frankfurt-born, Berlin-based pianist, composer, producer, and live act who has shaped the electronic music landscape since the early 2000s. After a breakthrough year in 2009 - named Beatport Star of the Year alongside Eric Prydz and Deadmau5 - he topped the platform’s charts five times, landed 16 Top 10s, and earned award nominations. His genre-blurring sound led to international touring and residencies at venues like Ministry of Sound (London) and Cielo (NYC). In 2012, his deep house anthem Beautiful Life on Anjunadeep became a defining release, holding the Beatport #1 spot and staying in the Top 100 for over six months. Further EPs followed on Anjunadeep and beyond - including Mel / Maya (2014), Have You Ever (2015), Ultraviolet (2017), and Organic Cold Brewed Hipster Funk (2019) - tracing Roth’s shift from peak-time club tracks to more melodic, emotionally driven work. In 2019, he introduced a new persona: An Analog Guy in a Digital World - a live and studio project focused on ambient, acoustic-infused electronica. The self-released debut album became a viral success, generating over 100 million streams and appearing in global ad campaigns, fashion shows, and films. His follow-up LP, Mono No Aware (2022), on Anjunadeep Reflections, further deepened this cinematic direction. Roth’s work is defined by emotional clarity and restraint - embracing minimalism, warm textures, and nostalgic imperfections.
