Biography & Metadata

Inderpal Moga is a Punjabi recording artist whose voice has helped define a new era of Punjabi hip hop. Known for a voice that moves fluidly across trap, R&B, and bhangra, Inderpal Moga functions and religious gatherings, a grounding in tradition that still shapes the soul in his sound. After moving to Surrey, British Columbia, nearly a decade ago, he spent years recording in his off hours while working a day job, chasing a dream with no guarantees. That persistence paid off when, after sending his first song to five hundred artists, only one responded: fellow Surrey artist Chani Nattan. The connection became one of the most important partnerships in Punjabi music today. Their breakout single “Daku” topped the Apple Music and iTunes charts and has racked up hundreds of millions of streams worldwide, launching a run of hits including “Noor Mahal,” “Face Time,” and “Coolin,” the last of which, alongside Jazzy B, earned Inderpal and Chani a nomination for the inaugural South Asian Music Recording of the Year at the 2025 JUNO Awards. Known for a voice that moves fluidly across trap, R&B, and bhangra, Inderpal Moga has become part of a new generation of turbaned Sikh artists reshaping what representation looks like in mainstream music, proud of where he comes from and unafraid of where the music is going next.
