Darrell Simms

Darrell Simms is Jamaican-rooted, Florida native , grown up in Sweden. His music became a way of making sense of belonging, identity and everything in between. His early work, including his debut album "Wilcox Ave EP", which was raw, direct and rooted in hip hop, shaped by a restless search for freedom, identity and a way out of unhealthy relationships and patterns. R&B has always been a major influence, particularly its softer and more melodic side. After stepping away from music, five years passed without Darrell putting pen to paper. Today, his music comes from a different place. More reflective, more grounded, and shaped by the hardships, relationships and personal growth of the years in between. The anger is still there, but so is acceptance. The new music is about letting go, leaving old patterns behind and finding the strength to build something new. "Flight 5589" marks the beginning of this new chapter, followed by an EP in 2026.
